The unprepared city

THE UNPREPARED CITY

There are pictures everywhere, even when I move around without a camera. Perfect compositions and tiny episodes that could have been grand if they were transformed into pictures. They passed me by all the time.
I felt that a randomly press on the trigger would be enough to capture amazing pictures. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I decided to bicycle around downtown Stockholm a couple of hours every day during July of 2011. I rigged up the camera on the carrier, put the camera on automatic and programed it to take a photo every ten seconds. I bicycled and let chance determine the pictures.

The unprepared city – without a photographer that planned composition and moment – was much more exciting than I had expected.
